And
since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, I believed and therefore I spoke, we also believe and
therefore speak.
II Corinthians 4:13
Ø We believe in the historic
Christian faith, as expressed in the ancient creeds of the Church.
Ø We believe in one God, the Father Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth and of all that is, seen and unseen.
Ø We believe in the one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father, God from
God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father.
Through Him all things
were made.
For us and for our salvation He came down from heaven.
By the power of the Holy Spirit He became incarnate
from the Virgin Mary and was made man.
For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate,
He suffered death, and was
buried.
On the third day He rose again in accordance with the Scriptures.
He ascended into heaven, and is seated at
the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living
and the dead,
and His kingdom will have no end.
Ø We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Giver of Life
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the
Father and the Son He is worshiped and glorified.
He has spoken through the prophets.
Ø We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
Ø We
believe that "all scripture is inspired by
God", that in its entirety, the Bible is the inerrant and divinely authoritative Word of God. (We wish we could
be able to supply Bibles to each and every person who gets born-again so they may have His Word.)
Ø We believe that man was
created directly by God. By disobedience he fell into sin and from the glory of God, therefore we are liable to eternal punishment
and cannot save ourselves.
Ø We believe that the Lord
Jesus Christ died upon the cross as a full and perfect substitutionary sacrifice for man's sin, and that His bodily resurrection
and ascension to Heaven mark Him as Lord of all.
Ø We believe that salvation
is entirely of God's grace, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone. The believer is forgiven, regenerated, given eternal
life and kept by the power of God through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Ø We believe that the Holy
Spirit has united every believer to Christ by Spirit baptism and that he indwells every believer in order to glorify the Lord
Jesus Christ and to empower and instruct the believer in godly living.
Ø We
believe that the Church is composed of all true believers and that the Lord Jesus Christ is the only Head of His Church.
Ø We believe that a local
church is under the direct authority of the Lord Jesus Christ, through His Word, and that in obedience to Him,
it is to practice Believers' Baptism and the Lord's Supper as ordinances.
Elders are raised up by God to shepherd His people.
Ø We believe in the personal,
imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ for His Church, and the eternal blessing of Life for those who have trusted in the
Lord Jesus Christ for salvation.
Ø We believe that believers
live in the world under the mandate of the Great Commission, which calls us to be a witness to the Lord Jesus Christ in all
the world.
In addition,
as foundational Truths upon which
the vision and mission of Gates of Glory Ministries is built:
We believe;
that God intends the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ to represent Him in His character and power in the earth. (Anointed to Preach, Teach, Heal and
to Deliver).
As the Father has
sent me, I also send you.
John 20:21
We believe;
that God desires for every local church to be a place where people experience His presence, power,
healing and deliverance whenever the congregation assembles.
How awesome is
this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven! (The Gate to His Glory)
Genesis 28:17
We believe;
that it is especially in an atmosphere of true worship, of passionate, un-inhibited, wholehearted
adoration, thanksgiving and praise that His presence is most powerfully manifested.
It
came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound heard in praising and thanking the Lord ... that
the house, the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud, so that the priests could not continue ministering ... for the
glory of the Lord filled the house of God.
II Chronicles 5:13 - 14
We believe;
that it is through heart-to-heart encounter with His presence that believers are transformed into the likeness
of Christ by the Holy Spirit, thus enabling them to fulfill their calling to represent Him.
But we all, with unveiled faces, beholding as in a mirror the Glory of the Lord, are being changed into the same
image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
